Magpie Runner

The year - 1170. The place - Canterbury Cathedral, full of arches and flickering shadows. The Archbishop Thomas à Becket is murdered by the King's own men and thirteen year old Edward sees it all. The murderer snatches the holy man's jewelled cross but in the panic that follows he drops it. Edward, watching, grabs it, saves it and runs... Will he escape the searching eyes of powerful, angry men? What dangers must he face to take the treasure of the most famous man in England to safety? Can he save the jewel? Can he save himself?
