Mathella and the Treasure Hunt

In this adventure, Ella and her classmates are seeking treasures! However, to discover how many steps they must take to reach the treasure, they will have to isolate the variable to discover where "X" marks the spot. They are given a 2-step equation as a clue. Ella teaches them along the way, and together they discover that the greatest treasure is knowledge. Students learn about the distributive, associative, and commutative properties; combining like terms, and solving equations. Worksheets with examples are included to help reinforce the concepts.
