Nephropathy in Type 2 Diabetes

Clinical nephrology is confronted with an emerging medical catastrophe of international proportions: endstage renal failure in patients with type 2 diabetes. A number of studies have indicated that this is preventable, at least in principle, and this text summarizes the current state of knowledge.
