No Regrets?

I haven't seen my dad since I was 9. Now a 44 year old man, I wanted to know what happened - why he rejected me, what the circumstances were and if he ever had any regrets. I didn't get all the answers I was looking for, but found out a lot more then I expected. Ultimately, this was the start of my journey of coming to terms with my dad's decision.
