The State of Ohio has a rich history. In 1833, the state was home to the first interracial college, Oberlin College. In 1834, Ohio became home to the Ohio Anti-Slavery Society, which helped to end slavery in the United States. Today, Ohio is home to 76 national historic parks and sites. In addition, it is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where artists like Ray Charles and Whitney Houston have been inducted. In 1903, the Wright Brothers achieved the first human flight in the state of Ohio. The building was designed by I. M. Pei, who was also responsible for the Louvre Pyramid in Paris.
