Bag om One
Once in several generations, somewhere in the world, comes a charismatic personality who has a profound effect on people's thinking. The subject of this short biographical sketch is not one of them. His life was ended before his mission had barely begun, and he died in exile and obscurity. From a few random jottings in a tattered old notebook, the editor has pieced together fragments of the life of Citizen Number One, founder of the Citizens' Revolutionary Action Party who, as a result of his pursuits, became the target for both the British intelligence services and the criminal underworld. Fleeing England to what he believed was relative safety in France, he arrived in South America, where he continued his revolutionary activities until an appointment with a firing squad brought his short, but adventurous, career to an end. The publication of this brief biographical account is intended primarily to encourage others to come forward who have further information relating to 'One' and his revolutionary movement, and perhaps even inspire an 'abler hand' to write a fuller account of the man and his mission.
