The chapters describe changes brought about through the ages, as more understanding about pandemics and health protection has been gained. The reader is challenged to consider what lessons we can learn from the past, in order that we do not make the same mistakes again. Alison Wall is a retired nurse, midwife and Health Visitor. After gaining an MSc in public health in 2008 she became fascinated with the history of public health.
