A reality star is a person who has become known through their participation in reality shows or through their presence on social media. These types of stars can come from different areas, such as the entertainment industry, the fashion industry, sports or even everyday life. The term "reality TV" was introduced in the 1990s to describe shows that depict people's lives in a documentary-like manner.
