In the city of River Springs-controlled by Infinity Corp-Recruitment is everything. A career with Infinity Corp guarantees a privileged life, with the best social status and pay. Seventeen-year-old Emmie Woodard enters Recruitment to make her parents happy. Plus, it doesn't hurt that there's the cute, rebellious Recruit, Eric, who can't seem to take his eyes off her. But when she finally gets a behind-the-scenes look on how things are really run, she wants change. It's not long before she realizes Eric has his own agenda and wants change even more than she does. During Recruitment, Emmie learns that she is the center of a prophecy foretelling that she and three others will lead a revolution to dismantle not only River Springs, but three other segregated cities Infinity Corp refuses to talk about. After surviving a few near-death experiences, Emmie realizes Infinity Corp will stop at nothing to keep the prophecy from being fulfilled. If Emmie wants to live, she'll need to come up with a plan to stop the leaders of Infinity Corp so she can meet up with the other cities and begin their revolution for freedom.
