While Mommy often wondered what circumstances led Sammy to the shelter and why his family left him there, she never wondered, even once, if she had made the right decision in choosing him. She realized that the reason no one else had given him a second glance was because he had been saved just for her. And she for him. She couldn't help but also wonder if Sammy's voice would have ever been discovered had she not been the one to choose him. He had a song to sing, and because he was given a second chance, from an open heart willing to welcome him in, just as he was, his voice was and continues to be heard. Mommy happens to think it is one of the most special voices of all. And she is certain her Heavenly Father agrees.
