Christmas. It was Sarah's favourite time of year; a time for love, for family, for community. For the entire month of December Sarah felt warm and at peace despite the havoc of arranging the festivities. Her parents and sister always left her in charge of everything, but in all honesty she didn't mind one bit. She enjoyed it. Everything about Christmas was just so wonderful.
Which was why, as she unlocked the door to her little cottage, her eyes drifted to her neighbour's home. Noah wasn't the most sociable of men, but he also had no family to spend Christmas with. The thought carved a hollow feeling in Sarah's chest - so it was with the confidence of a woman on a mission that she left her doorstep to march across to Noah's...he's a widow and she makes it a point to find him a bride...but what if she's the right woman?

Years ago she left her Amish community out of spite but now she's forced to return with her young son in tow. Her mother is forgiving but her father...cold and distant. He allows Mary to stay providing she accept the stipulations of Amish life.
Mary is resentful but has no other choice. It isn't until Noah, a handsome farmer, begins to soften her heart with some old-fashioned courtship. But once again Mary's father intervenes and the growing affection between the couple is stifled. Can they overcome the strict rules of Mary's father and put a past of hurtful shunning behind them?
