Satin and Satine

Satin Abernathy was born in Southern Germany, Satine a year later in Lousiana, to a Black former GI and a White German ballet dancer. Coming of age, brother and sister lived happy youthful years by the East River in Manhattan; although looking at each other with altered sentiments, after years of separation during childhood, Satine growing up in New Orleans, Satin in New York.

Theirs is a musical, also an explosive world, full of adventure, frequent amorous encounters; which include the brothel next door housing a goodly number of filles legeres, ever renewed and of global provenance. The world becomes their stage, through trials, tribulations, terrorism and romance. And where all this ultimately leads to, is for the reader to find out...
