"The Protestant Reformers attacked religious darkness with the light of God's truth, and our present cultural moment calls us to shine the light of the same gospel. The five solas were central to the Reformation's recovery of the gospel, and they have long served as a summary of the major distinctives of evangelical Protestantism. They summarize the core of the biblical gospel: sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), sola gratia (grace alone), sola fide (faith alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), and soli Deo Gloria (to the glory of God alone). Many Christians are unfamiliar with these five solas, but if we can grasp how these five biblical teachings offer us a different worldview, then we will be well on our way to being part of a new, desperately needed reformation"--
