The Compromising Church

The Compromising Church is a book with a compelling message for the glorious church. In this book, the church is encouraged to walk in the middle of the road. The spirit of the last days is one of compromise and no moral absolutes. The spirit of the Nicolaitans, Balaam and Jezebel is all about compromise. The Lord Jesus stated clearly that he 'hates' these spirits. A compromising spirit produces a compromising church. The spirit of compromise manifests differently in every culture, space and time. It can manifest as inclusiveness, where the church wants to blend in and accept every shade of opinion in order to avoid persecution. It takes on the garb of 'grace' whereby loose and immoral living are seen as issues and not sin. It could manifest as compromise for financial gain. It is seen in the syncretism of different religions, the mixture of traditional religion with Christianity. The church is called salt and light, it is the standard bearer. It has an absolute mandate. Jesus is the way not a way. The word of God contains moral absolutes, not suggestions. The inspiration of the Bible is by the eternal spirit of God and will stand for all eternity. As the church stands for the truth, the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth will manifest Himself more through the church to the world. May the Lord revive His work in our day.
