The Crowned Serpent

In 1921, all widowed Grace O'Connell wants is a peaceful life on her Tennessee farm.
But darkness is stirring in the mountains. It pulls her into an Appalachian world of walking legends, cursed towns, and a sorceress in league with a serpent out of nightmare... and the sorceress is her aunt.
Grace wishes they would all go away, but apparently God disagrees. Gritting her teeth and toting a rifle she's not very good at, she and her companions-including a certain blue-eyed priest-storm the Appalachians to bring God's light back to a cursed region. Assuming they live that long.
