The Headswoman

In a small town in medieval France, a young woman applies to take over the position of executioner from her deceased father. Unsure of her ability, the Mayor reviews her application and ultimately, though begrudgingly, assents to her request. As she eagerly and capably performs her role, a change comes over the town.
