The Indiculus luminosus of Paul Alvarus

Paul Alvarus, a ninth-century poet and theologian living in Muslim Iberia, wrote the Indiculus luminosus in 854 in response to the executions of a number of Córdoban Christians for denouncing Muhammad in public. The treatise provides a valuable window into the nature of Christian life under Islamic rule.
