Bag om The Last Shall Be First
Beginning in the early 1500s, Africans were transported to America; however, they were not permitted to live and operate as free citizens in the new land. They were enslaved and treated as property rather than human beings. Some 500 years later, people of African descent and other Blacks have yet to realize the true meaning of freedom, equality, and liberty in America. This inequity stems from sustained and systemic racism and acts of discrimination. These abhorrent acts have consistently kept Black Americans marginalized from mainstream America, depriving them of equal access to employment, education, wealth, housing, quality health care, and safety.
The modern-day slavery experience of Africans in the 1500s and 1600s (which led to the current condition of Black Americans) was similar to that of the Israelites of the 15th century B.C. as they too were enslaved. At the moment of the Israelites' liberation from Egypt, God moved mightily in their lives by transferring the wealth (gold and silver) of Egypt to the Israelites.
In this season, God desires to move mightily in the lives of Black Americans as He did for the Israelites. And, just as He did for them, He wants to complete the wealth transfer that has already been initiated, for the Bible says in Proverbs 13:22b, "...and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just."
So, what must you do to prepare for a mighty move of God?
How can you be an agent of change?
