A superstitious king believes his life is tied to a painter, whose death may cause his own demise. The Lucky Star, is a comic opera by Charles H. Brookfield, Ivan Caryll and Helen Lenoir. Originally performed in 1899, the story follows the irrational behavior of a king and his astrologer.
