The Provincetown Plays

The Provincetown Plays is a collection of seven one-act plays written by various authors and performed at the Provincetown Playhouse in Greenwich Village, New York City in 1916. The plays are: Bound East for Cardiff by Eugene O�������Neill, The Game by Louise Bryant, The King of Spain by Archibald MacLeish, Before Breakfast by Eugene O�������Neill, The Sniper by Floyd Dell, The Long Voyage Home by Eugene O�������Neill, and In the Zone by Eugene O�������Neill. The collection was edited by George Cram Cook, co-founder of the Provincetown Playhouse, and includes an introduction by him as well. The plays deal with themes such as love, war, death, and the human condition.
