The Provincetown Plays is a collection of seven one-act plays written by various authors and performed at the Provincetown Playhouse in Greenwich Village, New York City in 1916. The plays are: Bound East for Cardiff by Eugene O�������Neill, The Game by Louise Bryant, The King of Spain by Archibald MacLeish, Before Breakfast by Eugene O�������Neill, The Sniper by Floyd Dell, The Long Voyage Home by Eugene O�������Neill, and In the Zone by Eugene O�������Neill. The collection was edited by George Cram Cook, co-founder of the Provincetown Playhouse, and includes an introduction by him as well. The plays deal with themes such as love, war, death, and the human condition. The Provincetown Plays is considered a seminal work in the development of American theater and a significant contribution to the modernist movement.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
