Harry Rumsford is a young man from the farmlands of Ohio that joins the Navy under the promise that he will be able to work in the medical field. After graduating from the Naval Hospital Corps School, HA Rumsford must get through the trials and tribulations of staying alive, fitting in, and gaining the trust of fellow soldiers during his service in Vietnam.
