The Purpose of Genesis

From one point of view Genesis is the most remarkable book in the Bible. Without this book, the others could never have been written because each is an outgrowth of the first and inseparably linked with it in one way or another. Every portion of the law, prophets and holy writings (Luke 24:44) is intricately related to Genesis.
