Bag om The Stethoscope around my neck
Padma always wanted to be a doctor but little did she know that getting to live her childhood dream would be nothing less than an adventure to breathe. The book gives the reader a sneak peek into her journey of becoming an Anaesthesiologist and of her MBBS days she lived at the famous Government Medical College in Mumbai, The Grant Medical College.
The journey is interlaced with riveting true incidents which transformed Padma, a naive, sheltered girl of Mumbai, into a strong resident doctor who faced her residential days with much will even after having a person nearly die in the operation theater.
With her strong narrative skills, the readers can actually step into her shoes to experience the joy of saving a life and also the apprehensions while declaring the death of one of the gang members in a gang war.
The book also encompasses the reality of the 1992 Bombay riots and the role of Dr. Padma as an Anaesthesiologist.
