The Swooping Crane

In the sequel to "Meet Inspector L. Jack Hawthorne", the enigmatic Inspector Hawthorne is invited to a dinner party in Sweden hosted by the prestigious Lane family. The motives for Hawthorne's invite are complicated and unclear. The Lane daughter Elizabeth hosts Hawthorne and fears for her family's safety. Little did everyone know that a cold blooded murderer was attending the dinner party and was set to kill. The victim is an innocent, young, beautiful woman. Hawthorne must piece together personal motives, complicated by deceit and manipulation, in order to solve the crime.
