The Tragedies of Æschylus

This is a collection of the seven extant plays of Aeschylus, a Greek playwright who lived in the fifth century BCE. The plays included are: "The Persians", "Seven Against Thebes", "The Suppliants", "Prometheus Bound", "Agamemnon", "The Libation Bearers", and "The Eumenides". They are considered some of the greatest works of Western literature, and Aeschylus is often credited with inventing the tragic form.
This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
