Theology and the Drama of History

How can theology think and talk about history? This book engages in dialogue both with theologians and philosophers like von Balthasar, Hegel and Barth, and with poets and dramatists including Aeschylus, Shakespeare and Gerard Manley Hopkins to develop radical ways of articulating the mystery of divine and human freedom.
