Visiting Places

The stories in this book recount my travels and education as a young man in the 1950's and 1960's as I learned about cold war, hot war, history and the cultures of our planet. Those years were a dynamic era for America and the World. Much has changed since that time, and there are many today who would like to erase or change our history. It is my hope that the reader will gain some insight into the reality of that period by seeing it through the eyes of an average serviceman.
