This is the account of Earth New England space fleet's journey to the stars, and the valour and sacrifice of those early heroes of space. In particular this book recounts the life and sexual awakening of Molly Anderson, from entering space academy through accelerated promotion to Fleet Captain, and her coming of age sexual encounters and loves and losses along the way. Global nuclear war has made Earth virtually uninhabitable. Although the four remaining continents are surviving, and embracing technology, with 30% of GDP committed to the space race, it is pretty much accepted that Earth had little future.
