You Don't Know My Story

Gene and Ellen Saunders are two people who have overcome racism and practices of prejudice. They have risen above adversity and broken numerous barriers while accomplishing many firsts. Gene is the first African-American to serve on the City Council of a small West Virginian town called Moundsville. He also became the town's first African-American Mayor. Gene started city wide sports programs that are enjoyed by countless youngsters. Gene and Ellen's story is inspirational, powerful, and unique.
