Bag om 50 Weird Ideas
Having been given a genetically progressive terminal illness diagnosis with just 30 days to live, author Benny Phisheraree kept a personal diary of the journey he took on the way to a successful liver transplant almost 20 years later. When asked by close friends and the medical staff after the operation about how he felt, he could only say, "I still feel WEIRD!'. While recovering from surgery, and looking back through the diary, he found things he had forgotten he had written, and artwork he had created under the influence of an ever-increasing need for the daily prescription medication combination of pain relief and other life extending miracle drugs that kept him alive so long. He found poetry, lists, and essays, and artwork created while only being able to use as he became legally blind and toatlly disabled that were an outpouring of the reaction internally to life as it ground to a halt from what it had been previously, and what it was becoming - never knowing what the next day would bring. The result is '50 WEIRD IDEAS' - a fundamental part of the expression of the gratitude he has for the generosity of the organ donation by a family who had lost a loved one, who cared enough to extend someone else's life, the skill and caring of the medical staff and hospital personnel, and the outpouring of support and prayers from close friends and the community in which he lives and worships. With an extraordinary faith in God, and ETERNAL GRATITUDE for His having a plan that is for Good - always, Benny has had an outstanding recovery with a nearly perfect organ match to his uniquely rare blood type.
