A Degree of Truth

On September 11, 2001, terrorists launched attacks on the United States leaving many angry, confused, and scared while others pondered about such subjects as God, justice, religion, and life itself. In the subsequent days following 9/11, a 17 year old will rethink her dream of becoming a doctor only to pursue her true love, an immigrant's faith will be challenged, a police officer will be forced to confront his past, while his partner, who has endured discrimination and racism since childhood, is determined to help him exorcise his demons, and then there's the Academy Award winning actress, who faces death threats made by terrorists who want to destroy Hollywood and the entertainment industry in order cripple the economy. Fear, ignorance, prejudice, and racism are just a few elements that examine the direct and indirect consequences of that fateful Tuesday morning not only on a nation, but on four of its citizens whose lives will cross in a way they never could have imagined.
