"Do you miss your brother?", the father asked Levi when he finally reached his son. "My brother?", Levi asked. "Who knows where he spends his time, and how he wastes the money he steals from the treasury?" Levi's father stared for a moment, "I thought it was the migrant worker who managed the farm that stole from the treasury." he said. Levi didn't miss a beat as he covered his lie. "They both stole from you father, but I have only ever worked hard to grow our family farm." The father stared back towards the hill and the sea, as the wind blew his grey hair and beard. "He didn't have to steal. Everything I have belonged to him, and to you. Now all that is left is yours." Levi immediately picked up on his father's phrase, "all that is left." He dropped his pruning shears and stepped through the thorns closer to his father, not even noticing the scrapes they tore into his legs. "What do you mean, 'all that is left'?" he demanded.
