Call it what you want, but the outcomes of our actions are often unexpected or even the opposite of our intentions. A newspaper hacking a child's cellphone messages to get a story that ruins and closes the newspaper. The local council trying to block a schoolgirl's blogs about her school meals that meant it went viral. Bankers fixing interest rates for short-term gains not understanding the long-term outcomes for their company or industry. And of course the mother of the phrase, the Hollywood film star who wanted to block an aerial photograph of her California home. It all begins with the theft of a boat and ends up with the seconds ticking away towards the end of the Universe. Jack and Helen Riley are back in the thick of it, but who knows how things will turn out. That is the unknown unknown.
