A Thorn in My Side

A thorn in someone's side is usually someone or something that continually annoys or causes trouble for someone else. It can be hurtful, painful, and harmful. In this story, Katie, with the help of her best friend, Theresa, finally admits to her parents that she is being bullied by Judith Grey, a fellow student at her school. She is confused and embarrassed. Today, one out of every four students report being bullied during the school year. 65% of the students that are bullied do not report it. And even more disturbing, over 75% of the students say that they have seen bullying in their school - but did not report it. No one ever said life was easy.
