Ben-Hur

A Union general during the American Civil War, Lew Wallace later wrote one of the great classic American and Christian works of fiction, Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ. Wallace weaves a tale set in the First Century Roman Empire. A Jewish prince, Judah Ben-Hur, is unjustly accused of a crime and enslaved by the Romans. He later is trained to become a soldier and a charioteer. Returning home to Jerusalem, he witnesses the crucifixion of Christ. The event changes his life forever.
