Canal Cannot

Leaving what used to be a happy home to live with a girl who he had fallen in love with is an age old story. A change in lifestyle from self sufficiency farming and hand loom weaving to living on a very small canal boat. From living in a Elizabethan farmhouse with 15 acres, he must have been mad! He was madly in love and he joined her lifestyle, boating, busking and boozing. Naturally it did not last and, whilst he spent the next few years going from one disastrous relationship to another in a sexual romp of discovery looking for the perfect partner, he discover to his horror that he had been living in a fools paradise and that his ex wife had virtually been the Bradford bicycle. In parallel with all this he found himself in a battle with British Waterways, for daring to sell hand painted canal ware from his boat, which eventually resulted in another court case. Happy endings? maybe!
