Catriona

Catriona is a historical novel written by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. It was first published in 1893 and is a sequel to his earlier novel, Kidnapped. The story takes place in 1751 and follows the adventures of David Balfour, a young Scottish man who has recently returned from his travels in Europe. David becomes embroiled in a political conspiracy involving the Jacobite uprising and the attempt to restore the exiled Stuart dynasty to the throne of Scotland.
