Challenges for the New Peacekeepers

This SIPRI Research Report considers the experiences of those countries which, since the end of the Cold War, have participated in United Nations peacekeeping operations for the first time. They include Germany, Japan, Russia, and the USA. Lessons are drawn from their experience for future peacekeeping operations.
