Eye On You

Former naval officer Chase Christian comes to Louisiana in the aftermath of a failed marriage and turbulent Wall Street career. There he finds work with Jonas and Jen Makobia, a brother-and-sister team who operate one of Louisiana's many shrimp boats.
If Chase was hoping for a quiet life, he doesn't find it. Instead, he's drawn into the Makobias' often troubled world. Corruption in the shrimp business has led to a price on Jonas's head-a bounty that hired killer Katie Tea is determined to claim. As for Jen, the short firebrand has her sights set on Chase...when she's not obsessively searching for the location of Louisiana pirate Jean Lafitte's treasure in the surrounding bayous.
To protect Jonas, Chase contacts an old associate from his naval days and starts considering who hired Tea. He soon discovers the existence of a second killer, a man with links to a hidden part of Chase's own past. More than Jonas's life hinges on Chase's actions now. Chase's life is also on the line, as is a secret that goes all the way to the commander in chief of the US military.
