No one knows why Mallory Tyler moved to the remote quiet town of Lake City Colorado after the untimely death of her husband, Jack. But everybody notices the out of place, handsome and well dressed, Sal Russo, who had been Jack's business partner and a man that Mallory detests. With Sal's arrival come insinuations that Jack may be alive. Sal's friendship with Jack started in grade school and ended in Jack's death in a plane crash on a Belizean mountainside. Mallory ventures on a weekend hiking trip with the arrogant adventurer, Carson Kincaid, to the elusive Phantom Ranch, deep in the beautiful and mysterious Grand Canyon. With every turn in their descent, Mallory and Carson are pulled into a maelstrom of danger as they are stalked and hunted. Could it be the drug cartel, Sal Russo, or the Ghost of Jack?
