Canines have from ancient times maintained a strong bond with humans. Their loyalty never falters. This is the story of the bond developed between a neglected and mistreated orphan and a pair of extinct wolves. Nicki was fifteen years old when tragedy struck and then her life changed for the worse. She and the wolves are linked together in their struggle for survival when society and justice abandons them.
