Grok

To grok is to intimately and completely share the same reality or line of thinking with another physical or conceptual entity. And that is exactly what Cari and Ben do in their letters to one another: Grok. Here, for the first time, are the collected letters of Cari and her first boyfriend Ben. Spanning 20 years from 1994 until 2014, these letters chronicles their lives and loves. Along the way they bare their souls, discuss music and movies, talk about books, crack jokes and even espouse philosophy. Ben and Cari once lived down the street from one another, but then Ben is shipped off to a foster home in 1994. Cari reaches back out to him in 1995, leading to brief reunion. He abandons here and they do not speak for nearly 7 years. When Cari catches back up with him, she finds him incarcerated. The bulk of the letters are written between Ben and Cari when he is locked up in Ohio and she is North Carolina. They heal the past and realizes they still have feelings for one another. But will they get back together or will another encounter leave them both forever wounded and estranged?
