In the Time of the Jacarandas

In the Time of the Jacarandas is the most recent collection of Michael Hogan's poetry and the only one written entirely from Mexico. Hogan has lived in Guadalajara for the better part of three decades. The poems are in English, but don't be deceived. They are not written from the perspective of a foreigner, but rather from one who has come to love his adopted land. As Sam Hamill writes: "Hogan's Mexico is tangible, never alien.
