John Steel

John Steel and his great plantation escaped Sherman's march to the sea intact. As great a story as that would have been in itself, he is more remembered for the two families he bred and raised. The first was with the gentile southern lady Libby. The second was with the exquisite young woman, Belle, he brought south to tutor his daughters.
