Long Run to Glory

On the morning of August 5, 1984, four of the greatest marathoners of all time lined up for one of the most important and long-awaited races in history. They were American Joan Benoit, Norwegians Grete Waitz and Ingrid Kristiansen, and Portugal's Rosa Mota, squaring off at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. This is their story, and the story of the first ever Women's Olympic Marathon.
