Pete Taylor is a non-denominational preacher with a problem. He likes to gamble and can never turn down a challenge. Even if he does give all his winnings to the church or his mission in Peru, it still seems to always get him in trouble. He's taken over his late preacher father's church in his hometown of Sweetwater, Michigan. He also spends time in Peru building homes for those less fortunate. But his mission is in trouble. Without some fast money, he's about to lose the mission and the church too. He takes on one last wager with a rich man, agreeing before he realizes he's going to have to mentor the man's unruly Peruvian daughter, and prep her for marriage.
