Bag om Rat Bastard
Language inhibits the way we describe our existence. I suppose there will always be something in our silent reflections that will never make it to the page. But, the poet tries. My poems have a point of view and will likely provoke readers into a debate with me. I would not be disappointed with that. I've lived through a lot of reality, at least in a world that considered it all real. With only the transactional details to iron out. The world of commerce has as many moral ambiguities as a war zone. I know this world from the retail floor to the executive suites. As a copywriter I've challenged the reader to dance with me and dream his dreams with me. And buy something. As a technical writer, I've taken the incomprehensible and made plain fare of it for the common reader. I reinvented myself, and for five years I had a practice as a marriage and family counselor. I engaged with the hurt and the indignant, the frightened. Now, I draw from all that to present what I see and what's to be thought about it.
