Remaining Folly is Richard Beck's love letter to Folly Beach, a chronicle of how this "red-haired stepchild" beach community of the Charleston, S.C. area transformed into the unique, colorful, fun-loving place it is today-filled with an eclectic mix of characters. He takes us on a journey from Folly's first recognition as a place where the sick, dead, and dying of the colonial era were disembarked before entering Charleston through multiple challenges to its existence and identity.
