Something Evil

It is a Diwali party. The whole family is assembled in the house of Ammaji- Sunaina Divwedi. Reluctantly. Resentfully. But they are there. For when Ammaji summons people obey. Whether they want to or not. She is the matriarch- the center of this large talented and egoistic family of Divwedis. And she holds them in her web. Even her ex-husband Naresh Divwedi. Who comes every year with his second wife Ruby and his two sons- Ritesh and Angad. For this annual gathering during Diwali. Barbed comments, covert hostility, scenes between the two families are the norm. But today something is amiss......Something in the air...Something evil rearing its ugly head....... A woman screams as the fireworks explode into the dark night....And the Diwali turns black. For Naresh Divwedi is found murdered in the study with his head bashed. S.P. Apurv Chaturvedi ( C.I.D.) is assigned the case. It is his toughest assignment so far. Eighteen people in the house. One dead. Seventeen suspects. A dead man whom several people loved to hate. A man whom women adored and men hated. A man whose children disliked him. Motive? Plenty. Suspects? Plenty. Finding the murderer? Virtually impossible.
