The Battle of Natural Bridge, Florida

One of the last signfiicant Southern victories of the Civil War, the Battle of Natural Bridge preserved Tallahassee's status as the only Confederate capital east of the Mississippi River not conquered by Union troops. Fought along the banks of Florida's St. Marks River, the battle was an impressive Southern tactical and strategic victory.
